Ishikawa will always hold a special place in my heart. This is where I studied Japanese with my friends during the summer of 2012, and this is where all my ‘firsts’ occurred: first time living in Japan, first time eating Japanese food, first time playing taiko, first time doing calligraphy, etc.
I lived and studied in Kanazawa, the capital city of Ishikawa, for 5 weeks. From there, we travelled around the prefecture, up into the Noto peninsula where the scenery is so outrageously beautiful.
Cities visited:
- 金沢市 Kanazawa
- 輪島市 Wajima
- 能登島 Noto peninsula
